Underwater Explorers
With record amounts of rubbish in the ocean and relentless over fishing of our resources, protecting our oceans is critical.
This program explores two wonderful ocean animals - the green sea turtle and the lesser known dugong.
Children will use their imagination to go on an underwater adventure and engage in play-based learning to get to know these creatures and how they can help protect them for generations to come.
This incursion links to the following Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) Outcomes:
Outcome 1: Children have a strong sense of identity.
We empower children to be able to make decisions that affect them. They will also engage in role play with agency to participate in different ways according to their interests.
Outcome 2: Children are connected with & contribute to their world.
Children will learn some reasons that led to the vulnerability of these ocean animals and age-appropriate ways they can help to protect them.
Outcome 3: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
Movement activities and games will allow children to move their bodies, contributing to their physical wellbeing. A breathing/mindfulness activity will contribute to mental wellbeing.
Outcome 4: Children are confident and involved learners.
Children will be continually engaged and asked questioned throughout the incursion, encouraging them to speak up when they are comfortable and confident to do so.
Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators.
2 games that involve active listening skills are included, ensuring children are given the opportunity to practice communicating effectively.

Bushland Buddies (Coming T2, 2026)
There is no better place to start looking after animals than in our own backyard.
This program explores the iconic kangaroo and everyone’s favourite furry friend, the wombat. Both wonderful assets to our beautiful country.
With a little help from our mini Rescue Rangers, we can ensure that our country remains a beautiful home for these animals for many generations to come.
